Young Living Essential Oils
Throughout my medical journey as a teenager, my parents were always incorporating integrative care into my healing journey and rehabilitation ... I was taken to various types of holistic practitioners, especially during my 6 months of chemotherapy. This was my first introduction to looking at medicine as more than just the traditional model.
I was also taking numerous supplements multiple times a day, on a regimen that supported boosting my immune system, along with a brief introduction to Essential Oils in the late 90s when they were slowly becoming more known in our culture. My experience with chemotherapy actually was NOT the norm and the doctors and nurses were asking us what we were doing because I didn't get sick from it. I actually was even playing school sports while I was going through chemo. The only days I missed school were the days I had chemo! This was eye-opening and a first-hand experience of what happens when we treat the whole self.
I finished chemo in 1998 and have been cancer-free since!
Life went on and I didn't think much more of the essential oils until 2011 came along and I wanted support with both getting pregnant and then delivering my baby. And that opened up a whole world for me of support and education and passion for incorporating Young Living Essential Oils and Products into my life and our lives! The rest is history! Have been an Oil Fam ever since and have introduced hundreds to them since through in-person and online classes I teach and many Oil Parties I have hosted, along with many one-on-one consults or clients simply experiencing the oils for the first time when receiving a Living Well Session from me. They fall in love with these Oils and Products and decide to use them at home!

I have Oils to thank for Evan Craig coming into this world! Many medical professionals told me the impact of chemo and many other medical situations I experienced over the years could impact my ability to become pregnant. I did some personal research on what Oils were supportive with the intent of getting pregnant and we were blessed to get pregnant easily! And then the real miracle became apparent in our lives when we found out Evan's Guess Date was DECEMBER 13!!!! When I saw that date pop up on the computer with the calculating of my cycle, I literally broke out sobbing in happy tears, knowing this was MY MIRACLE and the very reason I did not die on December 13, 1995, the day I went into my coma for 5 days and had a near-death experience. God is good! Evan Craig's birth time started on December 14, 2012, I don't blame him, he wanted his own special day and after 22 hours of non-medicated birth-time, Evan Craig was born at 1:35pm on December 15, 2012. The most life-changing and empowering experience of my life! I was blessed to have an AMAZING Birth Team!
In addition to Evan's dad and my parents present, I had the best Midwife I could have asked for, plus 3 earth-angel doulas who supported me during those hours like no other! It was definitely an experience! Lots of swear words and lots of oils! White Angelica Oil will forever be my Angel in a Bottle Oil! Evan got stuck at 9.5 centimeters for 3 HOURS! Yes 3! After I had already been in labor for 19 hours. To say I was exhausted and done is an understatement, but my Birth Team knew how badly I wanted to experience birth non-medicated. They were almost to the point of having to do an emergency c-section, but my doulas brought out the White Angelica Oil and I literally surrendered to something and someone beyond myself - what I believe was truly Divine present in that room at that moment and I found a strength within me I didn't know I even had and Evan Craig came into this world surrounded by LOVE and a lot of oils!
I anointed him shortly after with Frankincense Oil and Gentle Baby Oil and he's been an Oil kid since!
12 years later and still going strong with our Oil Journey!
