My Story

I joke that “eclectic” is my middle name! My passions span and are each very unique in their own individual ways, no two paths the same or even similar, yet each making up a large part of who I am.

The various hats I wear today can be found on my homepage and each have their own story you can read more about when you click on that box, but I believe it’s important for you to also understand that those hats each originated from a path that began years ago.

In 1995, at the age of 14, I went into a coma from what started out as a headache and left me comatose for 5 days, eventually being diagnosed as a viral infection of Encephalitis that attacked my brain. I woke from the coma with no short-term memory and my family was informed that my life would never be the same and after weeks in the hospital fighting off this virus, we were sent home and told to plan for the worst, hope and pray for the best. That virus resulted in a permanent Traumatic Brain Injury that changed my future forever on that fateful day. It’s been a long, and at times complex 30 year journey, but I am very blessed, and you can read more of my Rehabilitation Journey in my Memoir E-Book and on the TBI Survivor tab on this page.

It also opened a new door for my understanding, experience and appreciation of the Holistic Health model and the spiritual side of human beings, which would eventually help me find my vocational path years later.

As you can probably guess after reading my Journey, it’s no surprise that I LOVE all things transformation … especially a good old comeback story! I have discovered in the past few years that I especially love making “ugly” things pretty again and bringing life to something that has been given up on, which is what led me to my latest Midlife Adventure of renovating an old outdated RV!

With absolutely NO experience before then! I am loving this newfound passion and looking forward to finding further projects of bringing life again to something that has been left behind to sit and be forgotten. You can check out my Renovation Journey here!

We all have a story...

This is mine.... At least the best I can do of the "condensed version" of it  ....

The last time I wrote a bio for my business website, I was in my mid-twenties and wasn’t married yet. How much life changes in 20 years is crazy…

And how much life we all live in our multiple decades, if we are blessed to do so, is also quite eye-opening when we stop to reflect on it!

Midlife is real, not gonna lie! I think it’s a beautiful Journey of coming to a greater understanding of love and acceptance. My life has shifted quite a bit over the past 3 years, which is part of the inspiration for this new website. My previous website was for my Holistic Health practice, which I still operate and love, but as my life journey continues to evolve, the hats I wear and the roles I have in my life journey have expanded, so I wanted a space reflecting all of that in one and being more representative of all that I share in this world more easily for people to see in one space. So here I am... Part 2!

I graduated from Augsburg College in Minneapolis with my Bachelors degree in Religion in 2005 and then went on to graduate with my Master of Arts degree in Holistic Health from St. Catherine University in St. Paul. I started my Energy Healing business shortly after, which I still operate here in New Ulm and which you can find more information about here.

One of the Blessings that came out of my journey was the beautiful birth of my son who’s guess date ended up being on the anniversary of my near-death-experience in December! The most awe-inspiring moment of my life was the honor of birthing life into this world 17 years later on the same date I was fighting for my life when comatose in 1995.

You can read more of my beautiful birth story on my Young Living Essential Oils page, including the gift of being able to anoint him with oils, shortly after he entered the world, and the vocational doors that opened for me on my path because of his birth story!

All of these experiences have shaped me and led me to who I am and where I am today. And will continue to. And for that I am grateful...

If you find any of my information and services as something that speaks to you and that can be of support to you in any way, hit the contact page.

Wishing you much peace on the journey

and just enough Lemons to make your own sweet Lemonade …

14 months after that fateful date, I lifted my hand to my neck and felt a lump. I knew intuitively in that moment that it was cancer. And it was. I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Disease at the age of 15 and went through 6 months of chemotherapy. This path ended up gifting me with so many Blessings, including friendships and memories that changed me and that I will cherish forever.
