My Renovations
I have always had a passion in my heart for any type of artistic expression in the form of decorating interior spaces! It is an expression and energy outlet for me that brings much joy, along with therapeutic benefits!
I have been transforming every space in my 1918 house for the past 10 years and it is slowly getting close to being the vision I have had for her all this time! As my house got close to becoming more “finished,” I started getting antsy a couple of years ago to transform a smaller space of some kind and wanted to find something that was “ugly” and in need of becoming beautiful again! For me, the process of transformation and making something beautiful out of spaces that have been forgotten about and left behind is very symbolic and gratifying to my soul! From this passion, a desire to find an old beat up RV somehow got put into my head and heart. I could not shake this feeling of wanting to put my creative touch in one! I started doing some research on RV Renovating and decided I was going to put this dream out there and start considering it. One day I posted about it on Facebook and as a result, a family member reached out to me saying he was actually looking into this idea as well and the idea of investing in someone doing this as a small business. After further chat and researching, we found an RV for sale and took the plunge and purchased a 1980 Mallard back in 2021!
The door was opened for me and boy was it quite a door!!! Midlife is real, my friends ;)
I had NO CLUE what I was getting myself into or doing, but I’m stubborn and when I commit to something, I commit and I don’t give up! I dove in head first researching what others did to transform these spaces and what I had to do to make my RV pretty again. Let me tell you, first and foremost, what I have learned the past 3 years is that this is NO EASY FEAT and every step of the process is 10x more challenging than you anticipate. Definitely a learning experience and test of stamina and patience!
She has come far in the past 3 summers though and this Spring and Summer I will be putting the final touches on my 1st Renovated RV!
My plan is to find someone who wants to purchase this Renovated RV and take her out for many adventures and memory-making! And then find the next project of some kind to make pretty again!
I have fallen in love with the process of TRANSFORMATION and being hands-on in the project management of Renovation!
I have no clue where this Journey will continue to take me but wanted to create a space here on my website to share that this is another part of my life that makes up who I am and is an outlet for me that I hope to continue to put to use in whatever way falls into place in the years to come. I plan to continue to post Blog updates on what I am working on and projects I have completed within my own home and any other spaces that come into my life! Check that out in the months to come!
Contact me at anytime if you feel there’s a small space that might be a match for me or you have interest in purchasing any of my Renovations from me!
